Overview
It is estimated that global private equity firms have $600 billion available for both controlled acquisitions and minority investments, with up to an additional $300 billion projected to be raised annually.
Winchester has historically maintained excellent relationships with the global private equity community. Our relationship with Yale University has enabled our continuing sponsorship of the Yale Private Equity Forum. We have also developed an extensive internal database consisting of approximately 3,000 private equity funds worldwide.
Strategic Exits
Over the years, we have provided our private equity clients with a variety of alternatives for creative exits. Through our extensive industry and financial contacts, we have initiated and completed numerous strategic divestments for a large range of private equity firms.
Platforms
We assist our private equity clients with the building of platforms through controlled acquisitions and roll-up strategies in specialised industries where aggregation and enhanced market positions can translate into value. This is especially important in the achievement of greater critical mass through revenue and profit building prior to a flotation or trade sale.
Add-On Acquisitions
We specialise in the research and origination of non-auction, add-on acquisitions for underlying portfolio investment companies. Typically, these transactions are in the small to medium size range that add value to the platform.
